Sitting Rooms

Lekkerwijn’s two sitting rooms form the top of the “T-shaped” old section of the house. They used to both be divided into two smaller rooms but were opened up by Harry Pickstone into more generous rooms.  Fireplaces and a sunny porch were added by Sir Herbert Baker. One sitting room is more formal with early Cape paintings of naval and land battles in the Cape. The other sitting room, known as the ‘Muddle’ is more relaxed and has TV with DSTV. Both rooms are avilable for guests to use as they wish.
